Director and founder of MJB (Partnership) Ltd, Bryan has been in Financial Services since completing an Economics degree in 1986. Since then, mostly as an IFA, he has helped 100’s of clients with various financial needs and built up vast experience covering almost any financial circumstance that you can imagine.
Consequently Bryan is confident dealing with large investments and Inheritance Tax planning for the wealthy, but also experienced in mortgages for First time buyers or Equity Release. He also handles several Group Pensions schemes for small to medium sized employers and some larger Directors Pension Arrangements.
As well as the Diploma in Financial Planning, Bryan has the Mortgage Advice Qualification together with Equity Release and the AFPC paper in Taxation and Trusts.
In his spare time Bryan enjoys cycling and sailing with his family and acts as Vice Commodore of his local Sailing Club. He also plays hockey for City of Portsmouth.
Mark graduated in Business Studies 1996 and since then worked for a large pensions and investments company before joining MJB in 2006. This investment background has proved successful in incorporating sophisticated financial techniques when advising clients. Mark has a flair for explaining complex financial matters in a language his clients understand. In 2015 he gained his Diploma in Financial Planning.
Outside of work Mark enjoys the ‘great outdoors’ with his family and these days, tends to watch more rugby than he plays.
James brings with him a wealth of experience having previously worked for some prominent companies. He also helped set up and develop a Financial Planning department within a firm of solicitors.
He firmly believes in taking the time to listen to each client to help them develop a bespoke financial plan for the future. James holds the Diploma in Financial Planning and can help you make sense of how your investments and pensions work.
James lives in Southsea and enjoys walking his dog, cycling, running and has a keen interest in music and football.
Trevor joined MJB in March 2011. He has worked in the industry for over 25 years and has much experience of various pension plans and investment portfolio planning. He has gained a Diploma in Financial Services. Trevor will be pleased to advise you on Investments and Pensions.
As well as raising their own children, Trevor and his wife Denise, are also Foster Carers for the WSCC.
Megan Shrubb is our full time Administrator. She joined us at the end of April 2015. She is very efficient and invaluable!
She holds the Diploma in Financial Planning with the London Institute of Banking & Finance. Megan enjoys painting and a range of outdoor activities with her husband and son.
Jo Watts deals with our Marketing and Administration and has worked for MJB since 2005. Since having a daughter in 2008 she has reduced her hours to work just on Mondays and Fridays. In 2017, Heba, our Payroll and Accounts Administrator, retired. Jo has now added these duties to her role at MJB.
She enjoys windsurfing and skiing and cycles to work when the weather’s good…
George Byrne is our experienced Paraplanner and has worked with MJB since 2010. Previously he was a Financial Adviser with Confederation Life of Canada and Sun Life Financial of Canada before running his own IFA firm.
George is usually in the office from Monday to Thursday.
Donna joined our team in December 2017 as our part-time Administrator and works every afternoon. She has a background in administration and has a keen attention to detail having worked at a publishing company for over 19 years. Amongst other skills, she is experienced with customer liaison and maintaining databases.
Outside of work Donna enjoys golf and tennis.
