Bryan Hodges
Director and founder of MJB (Partnership) Ltd, Bryan has been in Financial Services since completing an Economics degree in 1986. Since then, mostly as an IFA, he has helped 100’s of clients with various financial needs and built up vast experience covering almost any financial circumstance that you can imagine.
Consequently Bryan is confident dealing with large investments and Inheritance Tax planning for the wealthy, but also experienced in mortgages for First time buyers or Equity Release. He also handles several Group Pensions schemes for small to medium sized employers and some larger Directors Pension Arrangements.
As well as the Diploma in Financial Planning, Bryan has the Mortgage Advice Qualification together with Equity Release and the Advanced FPC papers in Specialist Pensions and Taxation and Trusts.
In his spare time Bryan enjoys cycling and sailing with his family and acts as Commodore of his local Sailing Club. He also plays hockey for City of Portsmouth.
Mark Gordon
Mark graduated in Business Studies 1996 and since then worked for a large pensions and investments company before joining MJB in 2006. This investment background has proved successful in incorporating sophisticated financial techniques when advising clients. Mark has a flair for explaining complex financial matters in a language his clients understand. In 2015 he gained his Diploma in Financial Planning.
Outside of work Mark enjoys the ‘great outdoors’ with his family and these days, tends to watch more rugby than he plays.
James Hobbs
James brings with him a wealth of experience having previously worked for some prominent companies. He also helped set up and develop a Financial Planning department within a firm of solicitors.
He firmly believes in taking the time to listen to each client to help them develop a bespoke financial plan for the future. James holds the Diploma in Financial Planning and can help you make sense of how your investments and pensions work.
James lives with his partner and children and enjoys walking his dog, cycling, running and has a keen interest in music and football.
Sian Wade
Sian Wade is our full time Administrator and Paraplanner. She joined us at the end of September 2022. She is very efficient and has worked in financial services for over 8 years in a number of various roles.
Sian enjoys, dog walking, socialising with friends and baking.
Harry Baldwin
Harry Baldwin works as our full time administrator. His role includes preparing client valuations, book keeping, updating the website and uploading documents on the database. He has a strong background in payroll administration.
In his spare time Harry enjoys watching and playing football and travelling.
George Byrne
George Byrne was our experienced Paraplanner and had worked with MJB since 2010. Previously he was a Financial Adviser with Confederation Life of Canada and Sun Life Financial of Canada before running his own IFA firm.
Its with great sadness we inform you that George passed away suddenly on Saturday 9th September. His knowledge and personality will be greatly missed in the office.
Donna Dudley
Donna joined our team in December 2017 as our part-time Administrator and works every Friday. She has a background in administration and has a keen attention to detail having worked at a publishing company for over 19 years. Amongst other skills, she is experienced with customer liaison and maintaining databases.
Outside of work Donna enjoys golf and tennis.
